goldencalf.jpgToday’s Torah reading is called, in Hebrew, Ki Tissa’ and includes: Exodus 30:11 through 34:35. The reading from the Prophets is 1 Kings 18:1-39, the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. The link seems to be the account of the “Golden Calf,” which the Israelites made while Moses was on Mt Sinai for 40 days. There are many other fascinating topics and subjects covered in this week’s reading.
